IPL PHOTOFACIAL IN DELHI

Latest in modern dermatology, Photofacial is a medical facial that uses Intense Pulse Light Laser (IPL Laser) which has proved to increase natural collagen synthesis capacity of the skin.
It also helps in stimulating the production of other vital proteins and micronutrients, which help in keeping the skin healthy, nourished, and youthful. IPL Photofacial has proved to be very effective in the treatment of several skin conditions like sunspots, brown spots, rosacea, hyperpigmentation, suntan, damaged skin open pores, facial redness, etc.

HOW IT WORKS?

IPL Photofacial causes cutaneous blood vessels below the skin to constrict, thereby reducing redness and age lines. It helps in improving the overall texture of the skin and the results are quite visible at the end of the session the skin looks absolutely clean, bright, and rejuvenated.
We strongly recommend IPL Photofacial for treatment of hyperpigmentation as the use of laser specifically targets the melanin pigment (which is one of the reasons for darker skin tone) so that there is a visible reduction in the appearance of dark spots.

As the procedure begins, the patient is given protective eyewear to protect from the bright flashes of light. A cooling jelly is applied to the area to be treated both to lubricate the handpiece and to help cool the skin during the treatment. The dermatologist will shoot brief pulses of IPL laser to the skin through the handpiece.

During each session, the laser is passed multiple times over the area to be treated until a clinical endpoint is reached. Each session is then repeated frequently every 15 days. Once the hyperpigmentation has cleared up, the frequency is reduced for the next sessions. The duration of a session depends on the size of the area to be treated. Small areas will only take a few minutes, while the larger body parts may take upto an hour.

Multiple sessions may be needed depending on the severity of the concern and the area being treated. For most people 3-5 treatment sessions provide optimum results.

There is no downtime associated with this treatment. Some patients might experience mild redness of skin but that gets back to normal in a few hours post-procedure.

At RakShaa Skin Clinic, we only use US FDA Approved Laser Devices as the safety of our patients is of utmost importance to us.

Post-procedure Precautions
The most important things to remember following IPL Photofacial treatment are to avoid the direct sun for the next 7-10 days and to wear plenty of sunblocks at least 2-3 times a day. After the completion of the recommended number of sessions, Intense Pulsed Light Therapy can provide long-lasting results for a year or more if the person religiously follows post-procedure instructions and skincare regime recommended by the dermatologist.
